It's too bad, because looks aside, it's a much better car than the E AMG or the M5

Did you see the new one? It's basically the A4 from a decade ago. BMW pulled the same bullshit with the 1/2/3/4 series

Yeah, although isn't that kind of how car companies roll?

Start out with an econobox, and then grow it a little bit every refresh so you can say "Most leg room in its class" or "we extended the wheelbase for better handling". And eventually. you have just grown it into a midsize car and have room in the lineup to introduce something below it.

Isn't that pretty much how VW ended up with the Lupo/Fox after the Polo/Golf got too big.

I don't love the Panamera, but I didn't think it was terrible. I liked it better than Bangle BMW 7s anyway.

At least the Singer will have a Porsche following, which is cult-like. Singer prob marketed more effectively. Seems more elusive. Also not very fungible. There are tons of options when it comes to muscle cars. Porsche is kinda in its own little universe (for better or worse). Not a lot of things that are truly comparable other than a different 911.

Instead of the Equus, people have the choice of other muscle car remakes like Superformance, Pro Touring, Classic Re-creations, etc. Not to mention random dudes in their garages in Ohio who will pro-street these things. Generally all those other options are significantly cheaper.

I have to admit, a Superformance or CAV GT might even appear on a shortlist of sports cars I would consider. The practical side of me would end up with a 911 though. Now if they would only do a 2000GT replica at that level, I'd be very happy.

Ugh, trying to sell my '13 A4 on it, perfect condition w/ navvy, and Carmax offers $26k...******* joke.

depreciation (2 newer models after yours), plus Carmax has to make a re-sale profit on it later. Doesn't seem too bad. Sell it to a person, not a company trying to re-sell it.

Carmax consistently offers higher prices than any/most dealers IME. You absolutely can get more by selling to a private party, but then you'd have to deal with people

Ughhh that reminds me that I haven't been trying very hard to sell my car. I have a half assed ad on a forum and ****** pics.

I keep telling myself I need to sell it before Winter hits. But now I'm toying with the idea of just buying winter tires. I dunno.

HRoi, kbb says my car is worth abouth $32k -- how much do you think carmax would offer? Like $28k? Or more like $26k?

Do You Consider Sustainability When Purchasing Clothes?

  • Always - Sustainability is a top priority in all my clothing purchases.

  • Often - I frequently consider sustainability, but it isn't the main factor in my decisions.

  • Rarely - I seldom consider sustainability when purchasing clothes.

  • Never - Sustainability is not a factor I consider in my clothing choices.
