After this conversation, I noticed that my front plate is gone. I can't imagine it falling off in normal driving conditions. Checked the EZ pass account to see if I've been paying tolls for someone else but there's nothing odd going on there.

Wonder how long I've been driving around like this? Ordered a new one from the state RMV and it takes up to 12 weeks. Printed out the receipt in the event I get pulled over.

lol, well I guess you're welcome?

I have had an irrational love for this car since it was introduced and saw my first one ever today. Weird it was on a random Tuesday in February. The 08-11 Bentley Brooklands. Surprisingly rare with only 550 units produced according to wiki

So someone who lives in a state with only rear plates drives through a state that requires two, they can't fine you, but if you live in that state they could?

I never heard of the Brookland but that is pretty sweet looking. Now I'm gonna be on the lookout for that unicorn here too!

I believe some EU countries and the UK allow you to put a sticker version of the plate on the front, no holes required. Not sure if that's better or worse in terms of aesthetics, though. Maybe if I had a Peak Porsche™ I would care more about holes in the front bumper cover.
We have to pop rivet our plates directly in the bumper cover. And drill new holes each time the car changes registration.

Because I, at least, wasn't even sure I could envision how big that would be:

for reference an acre is 43,560 sf so approaching 4 acres of log house

A timeline on how my year started. I’m sad as she’s now a money pit. I don’t want to replace because I don’t know what’s a suitable replacement.

7 seater SUVs are way too pricey and any fun car is now overpriced.
