i wouldn't mind picking up an E30 M3 as a fourth car that would be the "classic" in the stable (not sure if 88-90's can accurately be called classics yet, but the only other 10+ year old car that floats my boat is the F355).

i saw a hellrot '88 for sale that was claimed to be all straight, zero rust, one owner with 120k miles for $24k recently. was sorely tempted but the ****** sold before i could even seriously consider trying to scrape up the cash to make a run at it.

The E30 M3 is a definite classic. That said, you should not buy a US spec one at this point since they're coming to be 25 years old now, just get one imported from Japan. I saw a Lachssilber one with plaid interior and 15k miles on the clock. Was absolutely pristine as you can imagine. I think they wanted about $30K for it.

would definitely pay $30k for something like that, as long as it wasn't RHD and didn't need all this **** to make it US street legal. over here, people rice them out with terrible body modifications and engine swaps and try to sell it to you for that much

Almost everything German/Italian and hi-po is always LHD in Japan, pretty much full German-spec except that the lights are aimed in the other direction for a RHD car and you'd have to swap in the German ones. Hell, even Bentleys and RR's are LHD in Japan. It's an old-school status thing. The E30 M3's in Japan came with the Getrag dogleg ****** that American ones didn't have. There are a lot of trashed out, heavily modded BMWs in Japan, but back in the day they at least used nice parts. There are a lot of nice all-stock cars in Japan though too.

There used to be a lot more E30 M3's in Japan on yahoo used cars but they are becoming rare these days. Just fewer left on the roads. I've seen some beauties over the past few years though. This one has 76,000km's on the clock and is listed for about $30K, give or take.

Is that an actual "Sport Evolution" ?

I think it's just a stock Japan spec model. The red striping is stock, this dealer has 3 of them for sale and they all look identical. Sport Evo 2.5's had a front spoiler add-on and a flugel flap, no?

Too busy...
Give me this V8 Vantage over that Vanquish any day

And that's IF i were forced to go with an Aston. They look beautiful but they all have the technology of a C250 Mercedes.

There are AWD BMWs, and with proper snow tires, any car is capable of doing that.

Also, someone needs to cybersquat riceforum.com, .net, etc.

Anyone think that new Ford Fusion grill looks an awful lot like an Aston? And the profile seems to look a lot like the Jaguar XF
