Went shoe shopping today and bough three pairs of shoes. I was shocked to find that across three makes - Crockett & Jones, Edward Green and Gaziano & Girling - I came out to three different sizes:

C&J Lonsdale (last 363): 8UK, E width
Gaziano & Girling Westbury (last TG73): 8.5UK, E width
Edward Green (last 82, forgot model): 9.5UK / 10US, D width

What's more, the length of the C&Js in 8UK are basically identical to E&Gs in 9.5UK.

Was really quite surprised. Anyone else have this experience when switching between C&Js and EGs?

You don't happen to know how E&G 888 fits vs 82? Bought a pair of 888s online in the same size and width as 82. Can return them, but wondering how much of a roll of a die fit will be...

They are from the same family so they fit very similar.
