Michter's for $199?!? Wut? That's $45-50 here and this isn't exactly a spirit mecca.

I'd put the Elijah Craig 18 on the list, along with venividivicibj's list, but those prices are mostly insane and the "whatever you can find" would be better.

Michter’s 10yr has been raising for the past two years up here.MSRP was $100, then $125 and this year it jumped to $200. Everybody is pretty upset, but if you can get it $45 we might need to work out a deal.

Not the 10 year old Michter's, I can assure you. Michter's bourbon itself is widely available, but the ten year old is definitely highly allocated

Yeah I remember back in grad school picking up M10 rye and bourbon for around $100 *each in southeast KY. Not going to find that for $45-50 anywhere.

I too would go PVW 15, PVW 20, and probably Old Rip 10 or M10 if I was going to choose out of that list to drink. PVW 20 is my least favorite of the range after Lot B (which was my cigar lounge locker bottle), but hard to beat what you can turn it around for.

I'd probably go PVW20, PVW15, and then the Michter's rye. The PVW 20 is more from nostalgia perspective than anything

In my state, liquor stores are county run in an adjacent county. If you are a state resident, you can sign up for the raffle (its free) when they get notice of allocation. I think you let to pick three choices from the list, and then if you get picked, you get the option to buy whatever your top choice that is still available (per the allocation, and previous "winner's" picks)

I sign up every time, I have never been picked. I think my BIL got picked once

In Texas (Houston area), my local stores have raffles based on you donating to local Rotary clubs. Last I looked it was $100 a ticket to get a chance to purchase bottles. There is no limit on how many tickets you can buy either. It’s absurd.

Each store does it different up here some have raffles which are limited to certain customers or open to all. Some stores just text you to come in and ask you if you want to purchase a specific allocated bottle they think you will like. Others ask you what you want and you give them your top five then based on your standing you get something from your list.

Sure we’re not mixing up our Michter’s here? Never known the 10yr to be $45…

Good catch. Definitely mixed those two up.

I have been to raffles before. 95% of what I get comes directly off the shelf from local shops. Makes me feel very fortunate. That is why I am always stocking up for the rainy day when I don't live around here anymore...
