I think the effect is exacerbated by the quite large opening, aka hem width. It makes it look higher than it is. And this thread ROCKKKZX

Your pants will ride up less if your feet aren't on the ceiling. Gravity, you know.

Spandex chinos don't ride up. The stretchy fabric accommodates the bending of your knees so the pants stay the same length at all times.

Slim-fit trousers are tough that way. When you bend your legs, your thighs thicken. If it stretches the fabric around your thighs at all, the pant leg will actually physically get shorter.

Like borderline said, getting pants with stretch may help. Otherwise you will need to find slim fits that fit your thigh when your legs are bent.

They're fine. Mine ride up _way_ more than that when I'm sitting down. Who cares? Who's looking at your ankles anyway? In any case, how can those possibly qualify as "slim fit"? The opening looks as wide as your foot is long. Who makes them?
