I had bought a pair of slim fit chinos. They fit nicely as 34 regulars and 32 regular fit dont fit me for some reason.

I have an issue with them though...

How high should the pant leg come up when I sit down. They tend to come up to my ankel and sometimes a bit more, just above it. None the less when I stand they are not highwaters.

I have an issue getting pant length down right. I have one pair that is 30s and fit nice while in another I had to go to 32 to keep the length right.

I just want to know if it is to short for me, when I sit down for them to come up to my ankels or if I am paranoid. (I tend to be.) When I stand with no shoe on they just barely touch the floor, about a 1/8 inch from the floor. And with my dress shoes on they come to about the middle of my heel. Any help please?

Soundwave, if the trousers have a satisfactory break when you are standing, then relax.

Of course your trousers are going to ride up when you sit or cross your legs. Any more discussion on this point is sartobabble and Manton, with arm raised and cuff pulled into hiding, will fall upon you like a form of righteous retribution.

(do you know what a nemesis is?)

I would be more concerned about the square-toed loafers, to be honest.

If you are worried about them riding up too far on your ankles you could always staple them to your socks. I hear Manton is consideing this method for his unruly shirt cuffs.

In all seriousness they look fine.

I plan on getting better shoes. I have had these shoes for years now, need new better ones. Looking around for what is a good pair of shoes. Recommendations on style (Slip on, tie, etc.) will be apperciated

Not to be harsh, but do some searches. Discussions about shoes have been discussed ad nauseum here. You're really going to ask, "what kind of shoes should I get?" I mean, really?

To be honest I dont think recommendations is the same thing as "What kind of shoes should I get?"
