I am going to be in Boston Thursday with very limited shopping time. I was wondering if anyone in the area could let me know which stores are worth visiting (ie - still have sales on.) At minimum, I was planning to go to Filenes, Louis Boston and Aquascutum. Thanks in advance.

I don't know of any sales at present, but in case you are unaware (Some of the changes in Boston recently)there are now two FB in Boston. The new on on Boylston st around the corner from Louis in the N.E. Life Building. They have more men's suits and upscale items, including men's shoes on the second floor near the luggage area. This new FB doesn't use the markdown policy that the original Downtown Crossing does.

Both FBs have recently received clothes from Mitchells/Richards in CT so if you are into Italian clothes you might find them in both locations. They have also recently received some suits from Canali.

There is now a Barney's in Boston as well in the Copley Place mall. And a Loro Piana shop has just opened on Newbury St.

Drinkwater's. Great service, nice selection, and support a forum member to boot. Lots of stuff on sale.
