Please excuse me if this sounds silly, but I recently purchased my first pair of ankle boots. I don't know the exact name of the style, but they are similar to chelsea boots, except they have a side zipper instead of elastic. I'm debating whether or not to keep them, and I'm not exactly sure how they're supposed to fit. I usually wear a 9.5 in sneakers, and I sized down to a 9 in these. I tried the 8.5 but I couldnt get my foot into it. I think because the hole in the top is so large (due to the fact that it is a zippered boot and not elastic or laced), my heel is not completely secure in the boot. They feel kind of loose when I walk around, and I'm concerned this may hinder movement. Is this normal?
Again, sorry if this seems like a silly question, I feel kind of dumb asking.
