I was at BB Chicago yesterday and saw the Black Fleece wingtips both cordovan and pebble grain. Super wide super cool old school shoe. Not Peals - who makes them? Review & info needed...

thanks.

Alden makes the cordovan brogues....Trickers makes the Thom Browne pebblegrain so they may also make the BF ones too

either way, not worth it to get the rebadged BF when you can get the "real" thing for much less from Alden/Trickers

Have the Aldens, easily one of my fave shoes.

Church's? ...possibly. regardless, I don't see a point in spending an extra $2-300 for rebadged BF when the originals are still available, and fairly easy to get.

In the presale earlier in the fall, I could not see what was distinctive about BF shoes that justified the premium.

The must have red, white and blue pull tab.

Similar to the must have locker loop on the back of the jackets.

Do you have a link to the shoes on the BB website? All the shoes that BB sells are on its website.

Yes, worth thousands alone. Quite the bargain.

With TB BF, you can hang coat, shirt, pants and shoes from the same locker room hook.

Alden makes the BF shoes...I think Tricker's makes the TB shoes. Nothing different from any other Alden besides the packaging and sole treatment. Save yourself hundreds and buy a regular Alden or BB.

The R/W/B pull tab is on Thom Browne shoes which are made by Tricker's.

I thought when I looked inside of all the Black Fleece shoes they said Made in America, so that should narrow it down.

Made in America and made by Trickers doesn't jive.

Didn't you discover the same black pebble grain at Church?

I think what he meant is that it's obviously Alden because it says made in America.

BF shoes are Alden. TB shoes are Trickers.

I know they don't. I didn't say they did.

Thom Browne's shoes are made by Tricker's. Black Fleece shoes are Made in the USA which according to this board means Alden.

any pics? Regardless of the markup, I am interested in what the sole treatment of these Aldens looks like.
