True, but I don't think US federal regulations normally apply in Germany.

Because fyi, outside of the city, on every college campus/high school there are dozens of people wearing them constantly. They're popular and lame, they look horrible especially when worn with socks.

girls at my school tuck bootcut jeans into rugby socks and then wear birks clogs in the winter. It's pretty horrible. Things can't be so out they're in until not even the fashion repressed losers wouldn't touch them. That's why bootcut isn't coming back anytime soon, every second schmuck is wearing them, even the ones who think they're fashionable a la TR/R&R/7FAM

Birks are a good example of something that if you're wearing it in your backyard, whatever, not a big deal. But please please don't wear them to class/the mall/anywhere public other than like fuckin' walmart

I am really confused by this.

Hmm, well, I hope you sell clothes and don't manage the place. It's something most businesses have to be aware of, regardless of what they do, because it concerns Federal regulations on workplace safety: http://osha.gov/

Ah yes, fortunately your government has no jurisdiction in my neck of the woods. Well, officially, that is.

I have rainbows too. I don't think there's anything inherently wrong with sandals, but it becomes an issue when it's your only footwear. That might fly when someone is in school, but there comes a time when people need to start wearing big boy shoes. Sandals are meant for the beach or select times when you don't feel like lacing up real shoes.

They let your feet breath and they feel great.

Cosmetically they could use a little work, but in terms of the way they make you feel, they can't be beat. Those ramses look like perfect.
