@Shirtmaven might know; he was just talking about BB fabric in the BB thread.Hi, all. Sorry for posting a new thread, I couldn't find the quick question thread.
Does anyone know who makes the cloth for Brooks Brothers and J. Press' OCBDs? Curious if it's Thomas Mason. TIA!
@DrewMill if fabric was woven by Thomas Mason it would be labeled as such and the shirt would be much more expensive.. otherwise assume made in Asia. If the fabric is not Chinese they will let you know. Woven in Portugal= Somelos. Woven in Europe=Czech republic or Turkey. Monti of Italy=India. It goes on.
@emptym Spechler-vogel have lied about country of origin for years. 20 years ago they claimed made in England. That was maybe true in the 1970s.....
Heavy Oxford is sometimes referred to as "Cambridge, Polo, or Brooks Oxford. Has no relation to any of those. Just let's you know it is heavier construction...
Poly/cotton. So comfy to wear....
They told me that it's currently made in Brazil.@emptym Spechler-vogel have lied about country of origin for years. 20 years ago they claimed made in England. That was maybe true in the 1970s.....

Poly/cotton. So comfy to wear....
Years ago a Spanish mill made very nice quality cotton/poly. They are out of business for many years. They told me that it's currently made in Brazil.
I love poly/cotton shirts. Had a lot of them in the 80s/early 90s and have recently been buying up some vintage ones on eBay. I prefer them to 100% cotton shirts that have a chemical treatment to make them wrinkle-resistant. And they're very comfortable in hot, humid weather, like in the Philippines.
That said, I do wish the S-V ones had more cotton, like 50/50 or majority cotton. If you know of an end-on-end like that, pls let me know.
