I'm trying to find good value classic ribbed socks for casual wear. I'm looking for calf length, wool or cashmere, with a chunkier feel than your standard wool dress socks.

I'd be happy with a chunkier merino or a cashmere blend, even a bit of nylon if it helped keep shape and make them more robust. Looking for charcoals, greys, earth tones, browns, greens.

I have tried Falke Lhasa, but i find they pill terribly.

Johnstons have some beautiful cashmere colours on offer at a reasonable price for what they are, I think I'd try these if i was looking to add just a couple of pairs however I'm looking to stock up and so I'm gunning for something in the middle really.

Does anyone have any recommendations?

Thanks

I was going to start a similar thread but saw this post. My IG is inundated with ads for sock companies (they obviously know what I'm browsing), and there are some nice looking wool socks out there, but I have to imagine that there are companies who are not charging $30+ USD for a pair. I'd even pay $20, but $30 feels like highway robbery.
