Hi! Great questions. I am still not sure what your budget is for cufflinks as I have seen some sets it over $100k. I would look at cufflinks as two types: 1. Modern and 2. Vintage.
In regards to modern cufflinks I think the best quality include Van Cleef and Arpels-- their mystery set links and studs are amazing; Cartier, Asprey, Graff, and Tiffany in NYC, in London, Longmire, Benney, Asprey.
However if you want something extremely special and unique, I would look at vintage cufflinks. These items are unique and are as much works of art as well as jewels. In NYC, I would visit A La Veille Russie on 59th and 5th. They have a pair of Van Cleef diamonds from the 1920s, which is very special. They also have a full dress set by Cartier set in diamonds from the same era, very expensive but I have not seen anything like it. They also have pieces by Faberge, so something very very special can be found there. There is also Kentshire, Shrubsole, and some other great dealers. London is also a Mecca for vintage pieces, such as Bentley and Skinner, S.J. Phillips, among others. Of course these options might not be for what you are searching. These are some of the best dealers in the world.
As for braces I bought mine from Charvet at Bergdorf and I bought socks from Bergdorf's and also a pair from London.
I hope this helps!
