Russian River, Sierra Nevada, Dogfish Head and Rogue. Never tried anything from Stone but it looks like I'll have to.

I've only had a few Rogue beers but I've been unimpressed so far. I find Dead Guy to be undrinkable. Also I'm annoyed by overly-punchy beers so I'm not crazy on Stone either.

Their 90 minute IPA is insane.

Is Goose Island still around in Chicago? Their beers were always great.
I always liked Live Oak Brewery in Austin.

I've been several times. Some on the weekends, some of weeknights. Anyway, I go for good beer, not for the crowd. Goose Island is still there. They have a pub off of North & Clybourn. Pretty good pub food, and good beer.

Bear Republic sucks. We went to the bar in Healdsburg and got their tasting flight. Tasted every beer they had, probably 24 or so. I honestly don't remember a single one of them being memorable or even being worth buying a pint of.

Yeah try to keep some of that around regularly. Nice intro to "bigger beer" for the average beer guy.

+1 on several of the breweries mentioned -- missing but a necessary addition is North Coast.
