Nice coats!! As to the OP:
- while I love the idea of a belted wrap coat , which has great historical precedent, I feel it would end up being less wearable;
- regarding weight, low teens in OZ. is light even for a polo coat but at the same time don’t go too heavy;
- for the chest pocket I would go for a besom type. I do really like the handsome patch pockets in the example above.

Interesting comment. I visited Naples and Milan a few years ago. And to me it was
obvious on the street that the Milanese had a different, squared shoulder than the Neapolitans.
It was too early in the Fall to see whether this extended to outerwear.
