I ended up buying a polyester/viscose suit jacket for $35. (Was on a budget)

It looks okay, but even though its a slimfit, it doesnt fit me very well. The shoulders seem a bit too big for me and the left side of the jacket has a tedency to balloon out when im walking.

Use a heat gun or hair dryer on high. Seems to work well on my Nato watch straps..

Hey guys.
I've just landed a new job. Anyone have any recommendations for suits in Melbourne, looking at spending $600-800 a suit. Also any recommendations for shirts?

Depends on how soon you need them. They have been mentioned many times throughout the thread, but I'll list some of them again

:

Made to measure/order: Suit Shop, Oscar Hunt. A few weeks wait, obviously.
Off the rack: MJ Bale, Azzaro. Maybe Herringbone and Henry Bucks? Others can comment on them more accurately.

P Johnson and Suit Shop do MTM shirts, if that's within your budget.

WIWWT. Black leather jacket, flannel shirt, black jeans, black boots. Just for a change. I think the girls at the library were impressed. As were two of the women shopping at K Mart this arvo.

Just won a trip to Honolulu in October.

Never really considered going before. Anyone got suggestions on things to see and do - sartorial or otherwise - while I'm there? Will definitely check out Laather Soul, though being in the no spend club while I'm there is going to be pretty depressing.
