armani suit - should i get it

And what armani... collezioni, emporio, A/X, what? He's got so many different lines and has been around for so long, I think it's impossible to tell whether you should buy or not just from the info you gave.

At $159 I'm suspicious and fear that it's either very old, very used, or very fake.

Even Emporio would run you more than that on markdown. Hell, even the old "mani" line might run you more than that. Be very wary of such a good deal for a brand that typically sells very highly because of brand recognition.

oh no, definitely real.
this is at lotte duty free, in seoul.
they are having pre winter sales. this is on the rack that has 90% mark down. giorgio armani, i recall - original price US$1590.
my problem is that it is black, and i don't wear black. just thinking if it is worth it to change my "conception" and go with it for just US$159.

Pricewise, you won't be able to get even a crappy Men's Wearhouse type suit for $159, so it's a good deal.

that being said, if you don't like the suit, DON'T get it at any price. $159 for a suit you don't like is still a wasted $159, even though it might be a good deal.

What the professor said. Also, can you clarify what "black with white stripes" is -- I guess this could mean several things but the immediate image that comes to mind isn't necessarily positive.

Can't say for sure not seeing it's condition and overall apperance but for that price you can't really go wrong. I would be weary of it being a kcock off though, that dose sound low for an armani to be 90%. Although a arae find like that, must be taken advantage of.
