Hey guys,

Hoping to get some feedback in regards to this lapel width on me. I know the general rule is it's all about proportions and most say that a fraction less than half way is the optimal width for a classic look. I wear a 34 in the chest and in theory, 3.5" lapels would be way too big for someone with my frame. What do you guys think? I'm going for a classic/timeless look.

P.S. No alterations have been made yet as I'm still trying to decide.

The lapels are fine, a classic proportion. Best to avoid the trendy Tom Ford narrow-lapel look favored at the moment by clueless men's magazines and late night talk show hosts (who can afford to replace all their suits annually when fashions change). Your lapels would not look out of place in Naples today, or 20 years ago, or in the 1930s.

^ I mean that TF look is more of a trendy sportcoat look for young folks at the moment.

But I do think that lapel size looks nice and good for a classic look. Jacket looks sharp too.

Looks good, just don't wear skinny ties with that jacket.
