Are MMM dress shoes made in house or sourced?

At least some of them are produced by Buttero.

I have the boot version of those. I think you'll be happy with em. Some of MM's footwear has iffy quality (in particular, some of the boots I've handled have used really lackluster leathers), but the leather on those is pretty thick and feels substantial. Construction is nice, too.

Brands do not produce ANYTHING in-house (zero, zilch etc), there are very few exceptions and they're things like some Hermès shoes, scarves whatever. The only question you should ask yourself is about who designed it, because stuff like sunglasses or perfume is usually completely outsourced.

Thanks! Appreciate the reply and now I can see it. They do look strikingly similar to Butteros. Makes me feel like they were worth it since Buttero is decent quality. Thanks

That’s not really accurate. And given i asked a specific question you didn’t address at all... I’m not sure what value this response added.

Your question was meaningless, a big brand like Margiela does not produce ANYTHING in house beside marking (the cute little writing) some of their trainers and painting a few things white (not current in both cases but still) +, of course, their semi-couture offerings (where you get the amount of time it took to produce) so anything is produced by a variety of manufacturers and considering the size of the offerings, they'll switch quite often and might even have more than one for the same item.

If you were implying the shoes are from a diffusion line well they don't exist for the men's collections.

If your question was "hey any comment about the quality of these specific shoes?" then you should have asked that question...

Brands do often produce certain things in house. I asked the question because shoes are not often one of those items and I was trying to identify who MMM collaborated on for men’s dress shoes. Brands tend to use the same manufacturer for dress shoes because there aren’t a ton of high quality men’s dress shoe manufacturers. The question was fine - and already had one response where the poster responded to the actual question rather than going off on perfumes and scarfs - all irrelevant to the question. I just don’t get responding with a generic “brands make nothing in house” - which isn’t true - and not remotely answering the question. To each their own. Some just like hearing their own voice I suppose

Tell me what brands produce in-house (meaning fashion brands), I'm all ears...
