Are french cuffs more comfortable?

Once again, Bjorn has hit on an important aspect -- well fitting cuffs. I prefer my cuffs a bit snugger than most (maybe .25" snugger than most bespoke shirts will be), but the RTW cuffs are just ridiculous these days. This is what keeps me going back to Jantzen more than anything else, and the well fitting (and discreet) double cuffs Jantzen makes are tremendous.

I am probably the only one who thinks this - but I have been wearing two button single cuffs almost exclusively lately. I find that wearing cufflinks is actualy really uncomfortable in just about everything I do - especially metal ones.

I didn't want to regress back to the single button cuffs - too typical - and I found the two button to be just different enough. Also - I am often a roll up my shirt sleeves kind of guy so cuff links get to be a pain.

Anyone else feel this way?

Hi Mrburb. Ifind quite the opposite to you in wearing cufflinks .I find that they are very comfortable to wear. Never have any problems. I much prefer them to button cuffs as thedouble cuffs are looser than the button cuffs and hence more comfortable.
Can you tell me why cuff links are a pain when you need to roll yo r sleeves Up? I do not find them a pain when I roll my sleeves up and I do this often. I simply unfasten the links flick the toggle back, if they are swivel back links, or let the chain hang loose if it is double sided chain links, and fold the sleeves back. Very comfortable this way and have never lost a link.

I agree metal links can be a pain at work -- which is why I only wear silk knots.
