Anyone has Isaia Aquaspider feedback/experience?

Goretex is teflon (PTFE) and works great. I don't know of any health issues tied back to wearing goretex. Do you have actual data or is this just a kneejerk reaction?

That said, don't eat off the stuff.

Yes it "works great" - why would you be using it otherwise?

Why such faith that all the potential costs to you have already been encapsulated in the retail price, that there aren't "externalities"?

Not only is there no free lunch, but your lunches can prove progressively more costly to your body over time depending on their ingredients - that won't manifest until you're older and weaker of course.

Why would good data be extant? Who will be funding the research, and what are their interests? Of course, global corporations are so well regulated by our respective governments, who are incorruptible and ceaseless in their protection of citizens.

"... However, research in 2020 found it is not possible to conclude that the harmful effects of PTFE and other fluoropolymers on environmental and human health are of low concern."

But sure, have Faith in the magic... waddaya have to lose?

I don’t think it has a negative effect on skin, suit has a lining and you wear it on top of a shirt. But Teflon cookware is pretty bad.

When it is draped over your top half, you will definitely be breathing in micro-particles from it, more as it ages.

Also, the bottom & back of the legs on a suit is not lined - so still directly in contact and absorbable through skin.

Throwing out internet-meme-buzzwords-du-jour is a poor look. That's why I wrote a whole sentence instead of responding to your inane rant with "cope" as you seem to imply I should have.

You have already conceded its toxic risk in direct proximity to your body.

What's "a poor look" is lashing out and insulting someone who's expressing concern for your health and trying to safeguard it.

I was considering a navy aquaspider suit. All joking aside, would you recommend against it? Does it look shiny or is it noticeable otherwise?

I have not seen the fabric in person so have no idea of its appearance.

Would simply avoid just in principle due to the undisclosed (but logically very obvious) negative health implications.

Those effects can only worsen with age and wear, as the Teflon breaks down and sheds more readily; already more well known and observable with Gore-Tex used on e.g "outdoor"/hiking footwear to compensate for lack of appropriately high quality+conditioned leather.

So the suit that I had breifly (I returned it) did not feel soft to the touch, rather "plasticy", although it was super 160's. It felt pretty heavy as well. I did love the style and fit, but the fact that it has synthitics in it really turned me off, especially when it's pretty obvious. And yes it is shiny, but not to an extreme, I enjoy a bit shiny suit though.
FYI I am one of those who refuses to own any teflon coockware, but it would not bother me to have it in a suit.

No wonder Aquaspider sells so poorly in the secondary market. Who wants to wear material that's cancerous? I'm surprised that Isaia continues to use outdated treatment. On a side note, I bought a 3 piece Isaia colored with "natural Blueberry". I hope it doesn't turn my skin blue. ha ha.
