Hi all
I live in London and will be heading to NY in Jan (9th-13th) to celebrate my belated 30th birthday with my other half. The plan is to eat well, shop well and generally be merry (visited the major sights some time ago). I’m relatively new here but noticed there are quite of a number of NY locals and retailers regularly contribute here. Just my luck! Seeing as I’ll only be in town for a short visit, are there any stores that I really shouldn’t miss? Any tips generally? Is it worth visiting any of the sales or outlets?
By way of background, I’m hoping to update a rather wide range of my wardrobe (wider-fitting shoes, suits, shirts, casualwear etc). As far as price-points are concerned, less than $700 for a pair of smart pair of shoes, less than $2k for a suit, less than $200 for a shirt would be ideal. Having said that, I’d consider breaking-the-bank if it were something very special. Shoes are my kryptonite atm.
I’m thinking my limited time would be best spent focusing on boutique stores or those that stock special pieces that I may otherwise struggle to find in London (or are, by comparison, significantly cheaper when compared to London prices) but am not sure where to start. Any tips from would be greatly appreciated!
Many thanks in advance.
