I've been meaning to look for a new desk lamp soon. I'd like an old school one, but not the green bankers one.

are those counted as banker's lamps too? i thought they were the brass w/ green glass ones. i have one but wish i got a tolomeo instead. the one where the green glass hangs like a lantern look cool though.

They seem best suited to library reading room tables in large numbers. They aren't really good as task lamps because you can't move the head around easily.

Right now, I am using a HumanScale Element LED both at home and in my office.

a bit late to the party, but yes, got mine via thebankerslamp.com. tried to look around in retail stores back home, but couldnt really find any, so decided to get one online. Got a lot good information from the site before ordering, and they also have a spotter blog, for posts about where you can spot it in movies and TV-shows etc., its pretty funny
