I liked the captoe but these were in my size and figured they would go better with black tie. I got them from the Yeossal website.

Very nice, and I don't think you'll be disappointed. The retailer's pics aren't the best. I have one of his other black cap toes, and I tend to grab it over my similar Vass. It seems to hold a shine better, and every inch of the leather used appears to be top notch.

I could do a black museum double monk as long as the museum effect is subtle? On a soft square or almond last?

Although might be a tough sell to get enough joiners.

I actually don't know how black museum truly look like, the F&S/GG kind of color scheme looks really interesting, very a more subtle version of it?

Antonio does have a grey museum calf.
You can see it on his website under his MTO offerings.
I would be down for that in the balmoral oxford with brogued captoe that was earlier posted. The Decurion II.
