Hi everybody I'm 36, 6'8 250 lbs I'm not overweight(I think) and have never trained or worked out on a regular basis. I have recently decided to start a weight lifting routine as a body/mind overhaul. I have two dumbbells hanging around so this is what I have started to do.

http://www.dumbbell-exercises.com/top-10/index.html

I want to start by doing this routine every other day with push-ups and sit-ups in between.

Questions:
1) I'm right handed so my right side is stronger should I work with a weight(for both sides) that will tire out my left?

2) push-ups are hard. 34 inch arms(length) with a long body makes for a big fulcrum. Should I do as many proper push-up as I can or do some cheater push-ups with more reps?

3)should I wait longer (then every other day) between dumbbell exercises?

4) I have just started and can only get 10 reps of each exercise for the dumbbells . Should I decrease the weight so I can get more than one set before I'm huffing and puffing like an old man?

Thanks. Any tips are appreciated.

1) Do almost the same thing for both sides.Perhaps squeeze a little harder on the left side until it catches up.

4) Yes, temporarily decrease the weight until multiple sets are possible. Or use a lighter weight on the second set.

There isn't enough lower-body in that exercise routine.
