I have a Ralph Lauren alligator belt that is showing some signs of wear and losing some of the smaller scales near the end. Anyone have any advice or experience with repairs on something like this? Also, anyone have any experience with Saphir's Reptan reptile skin beauty milk?

Hi,

Good question, and not one to which I know the answer, but we do have a custom belt maker on the forum, one of our affiliate vendors, who I will page now @Equus Leather .

One thing. I cannot see your image. You will need to use the little landscape icon in the text editor to upload the photo.

Cheers,

Fok.

This is a spliced belt that needs to be replaced not repaired. I would recommend a one piece belt that will last twenty to thirty years. Edgemon Crockett is who I get my alligator products. His Facebook page is much better than his website. Tom's craftsmanship is second to none with customer service to match.

Thanks - whitetrump, appreciate the tip, always looking for more artisanal options - I can probably unload this on eBay for a good chunk of what he's getting for his belts.
