When sorting by price (from low to high) on the Shoe Bank website, is there any significance to the shoes listed at the end without pictures?

I guess some of the models really are just missing pictures. But I also saw a pair of Randolph listed for $147 at the bottom without pictures and at the same time saw the Randolph listed for $299 above with pictures. Does anyone know if there's a meaning behind this? Failed MTO maybe?

I just received a pair of brown shell Jefferson's from the SB I really cant find anything wrong with them and even the model number (7666) is not marked as seconds with an S at the end. If any of you see any deficiencies please let me know. This is my first pair of shell and I was expecting some kind marking from Horween, is there any other identifier that show they are shell cordovan?

If you removed the lining there might be a Horween stamp. After that shell is pretty easy to indentify.

What were the AEs going for at Burlington again?

The few that I saw were priced $140. People reported seeing in the $100-150 range.

To the trained eye those are definitely shell, and you should be able to tell that they smell different from calfskin leather.

Those Jeffs certainly look like shell to me.

+1 on the smell. My natural Dundees are still super strong-smelling. When I wear them, the aroma of shell wafts up at me all day long. I suppose there are worse scents that could be wafting out of shoes, lol

Give them a light scratch on the tongue. If it comes out, they're shell.

Looking at the profile pics, they certainly look like shell. From the rolls around the welt to the pinking, to the glow of the vamp.

7666 is also the model number for brown shell Jeffs.

There was only one in my size, a black patriot with VIP rubber sole.

Too bad. I would go for it, if the Patriot fit me better.

The S is not on the shoe itself. It's usually only on the box. Seconds have a stamp like a silhouette on the sole near the Allen Edmonds mark.

If there's no mark on the sole and no S on the box, they are likely firsts. Must be old inventory.

Those also look like shell. Do they have the JR sole with the Horween stamp, or the Independence line sole?
