Maybe the 2648 was an early production run, that by the time they hit the site had been updated to the 3187?
Possible.

I wonder if that means they dumped the 2648's into the seconds pool or if there is a mix of dark and light as firsts. I'm not sure where @polojock615 got his, but this could be an issue if you're expecting the light welt/edge as is pictured on the website.

I hate to interrupt the TS love, but my first wear of these clearance Boulevards - some of you picked these up (stole!) back in June. I have to say, I’m pretty impressed! Anybody else with me? Maybe it’s just the non-balmoral, but I found them quite comfy all day.

<fire away on the poor lacing pattern @audog - I had to look when you pointed it out to @polojock615!>

Absolutely out of work so extremely bored here at the office. Been looking at shoes for the last 3+ hours.

AE website RDA Sale prices defy logic. Some Clearance + Sale prices are greater than or equal to their Current Style Sale prices. I thought Clearance means they want to get rid of them. It's typically just a small price difference but it doesn't make complete sense to me.

The more popular styles:

5A is $245 for Black, Walnut, Dark Chili, Coffee, Oxblood (for both leather & Dainite), & Mahongany. However, the clearance Midnight Navy is MORE than its active counterparts at $267.

PA is $315 for Black, Walnut, Dark Chili, Coffee, & Oxblood (for leather & Dainite (minus Oxblood)). However, this time, the clearance Navy is LESS than its active counterparts at $297.

While Coffee is seemingly being kept for the 5A & PA, it is on Clearance in both the McAllister & Strand but is priced higher (McAllister) or lower (Strand) than its active counterparts:

McAllister is $245 for Oxblood, Dark Chili, Black, & Walnut (for both leather & Dainite). The clearance Coffee (both leather & Dainite) is MORE at $297.

Strand in Walnut (leather, Dainite, & V-Tread), Cigar, Black (leather & Dainite), Oxblood, Carbon, & Dark Chili is $315. The clearance Navy & Coffee are LESS at $297.

While not THAT popular, Carlyle pricing is all over the place. Active colors Black, Walnut, Dark Chili, and Coffee are $245 but clearance Brown is $197 and clearance Oxblood is $297.

Boots meet standard pricing practices.

edited for typo
I think you'll figure this scheme out around the same time "men figure out women."
