Happy Friday fellas! A couple of items:
1) It sounds like Ashley has some nice deals on a couple of items (as of last night at least). The biggest thing that caught my eye was the 11D Cambridge black shell, SMU on dainite so $399. Had a couple of other calf skin offerings at ridiculous prices too (Chili Dalton on dainite, Brown Strandmok on leather, Walnut Carlye on v-tread, Coffee Parks on dainite - all in 10.5E or 11D). I'd give her a call asap if you might be interested in these options.

2) It was supposed to be Day 5 of longwing week, but received these new boots last night and had to call an audible. These boots are supremely comfortable. Too good to spoiler for the initial wear! Have a good one fellas!

These are the AOC-80 from Alden of Carmel -- smooth tobacco chamois leather on Alden's Trubalance last. They were in the Last Call section to boot, so scored a great deal on them in my opinion to top it off. If you have ever had an Alden Indy, the comfort is the same, but brought up a level in my opinion, if that is even possible. Definitely happy to add them to the boot fleet!

I wear mine way more than I ever imagined I would.

I am surprised about how comfy they were right out of the box. I wore them for 12 hours on my first wear and they felt great. I can't imagine how they will feel after break in.

My comment was more referring to "I was in Burberry, Brooks Brothers, and Nordstrom last week and kept on hearing the same conversation between sales people and customers about how they have sneakers and other casual shoes that pair well with business suits" than the Tupelo.

Strandmok has had several different types of leathers used with the Dainite soles. They make it look good I think with the details, such as stitching colors, welt, etc.

@Shoenut. Wow. Looks great in the wild. Nice lace treatment, too. And I apologize for my unnecessary opinion. Note to self: a.) Don't judge a shoe by its stock photo. b.) Keep your criticisms to yourself.

When I had that shoe made up, I was thinking that I would never wear it with a suit. I was asked to dress creatively conservative, and this is how the lugged Strands were going to show my creativity in a non creative field. At the end of the day, I do like the Tupelo and may get in on the dark brown.
