Just wanted to give a shout out to this shirtmaker in Spitalfields, London. They do awesome dress shirts (I like their boxers, too), of a very high quality for a reasonable price. The machine made shirts are done in a factory in England that's been making shirts since 1913. The place is definitely worth a visit too - its on a small alley near the market and near the site of many of Jack the Ripper's murders! One of my favorite London memories is visiting this place (we style hounds are sick, eh?

Also, they make shirts for Dunhill and other brands using the same fabrics but different patterns. They do bespoke but I've never had the pleasure of owning them. The next time I head to London I'm sure to make a stop here.

Anyone else been to this marvelous little shop?

Here's the website. http://www.alexanderboyd.co.uk/

Most of my shirts are Rayner & Sturges bespoke (through Sartorial Executive; their visiting service is convenient for me, and has not let me down). I've never been to Alexander Boyd's own shop, but the factory he owns certainly delivers a good product.

Alexander Boyd is not owned by Rayner & Sturges, however both are owned by the Boyd-Bowman family (who also own Cleeve and also Cravats).

R&S make the shirts sold at Alexander Boyd, and they also make bespoke, stock-special and stock shirts for many other labels.

The Alexander Boyd shirts you saw in London were likely made with Alumo fabrics.
