Although I don't own a pair but from general consensus, would you agree that TLB is equal or better than benchgrade C&J?

They're different. As has been pointed out elsewhere in this thread this isn't a good way to really go about buying a pair of shoes off a checklist.

John Lobb = Edward Green > G&G > C&J > Alden = Carmina > Allen Edmonds > Meermin

Might be controversial, but I think my Meermin shoes are on par or better than my Allen Edmonds. At least the Meermins have all leather and no fiberboard

Leffot used to carry them. The former manager from Leffot, Sean Moran, has opened a new store, Dashing Chicago
( https://dashingchicago.com/ ) but the selection for now is pretty limited.

Hanig’s used to carry Alden but dropped them a while back.

Leffot still has Aldens.

Leffot in Chicago closed it’s doors about 2 years ago. Leffot in NY is obviously still open.

The former manager of the Chicago Leffot opened his own shop in the same location but the selection is pretty limited.
