I was out shopping today and found a nicely patterned shirt at a store I rarely shop at.
I asked a salesman " How do these sizes run?"
He responded "They don't run at all".
I just walked away.

Does anyone else have a similar story or a funny retail anecdote?

Why did you just walk away? That's pretty funny (assuming he was joking).

He may have been a deadpan comedian working part time though I really couldn't say.

Not really sure why I walked away to be honest. I was feeling a mixture of annoyance, laughter and curiosity as to how he came up with that answer. I did go to the fitting to try the shirt on and ended up not purchasing it.
