A light gray herringbone jacket for the summer

I'm thinking of a spring/summer odd jacket, and am thinking of a light gray herringbone in a very lightweight fabric and unlined. I'm thinking of something flexible enough to go with khakis, charcoal dress pants and dressy jeans. What details would you put on such a jacket? I'm particularly thinking about the pockets... maybe three open patch pockets?

I think the jacket would look nice with patch pockets.

Anyone have favorite photos? Plus points for something with swelled edges and patch pockets.

Why light grey? How about a shade or two lighter than navy?

I already have a jacket in the blue you describe, so I want a light gray.
