Hey, guys

I'm living north of the border from most of you in the States and I'm just wondering about certain pieces of clothing

My wardrobe is being rebuilt since I want to experiment with different styles.

Here is what I came up with....I'm still a newbie and I know nothing.

Casual style

Sweater (cardigan + V-neck + crew neck) with t-shirts (crew neck or V-neck)

Jeans (black or dark blue) or other pants(maybe khakis?)

Casual shoes (ummmmm...still thinking)

Semi Formal Style

Sweater (cardigan + V-neck) + dress shirt + maybe a tie as well

Pants that are not jeans (any ideas?)

Would leather shoes be okay?

Really Formal

Tailored suit with black brogue shoes

Hot Summer days

Khaki shorts or pleated shorts with a t-shirt (V-neck, crew-neck, etc)

Colder days

For the coldest days I have a red and grey Columbia Jacket that keep me warm. I'm thinking of getting a black pea coat for other days (slim, sleek) with a scarf to boot.

Extra Info
I really like a red hoodie that I have and I'm trying to find ways to wear it. I would like to wear it with t-shirts

So what do you guys think so far? I want to keep things simple and hope I didn't overdo anything. Again, I'm a newbie so bear with me.

Why bother with pleats on shorts?

Of course leather shoes are fine with "semi formal."

Almost everyone should own khakis, and black jeans have little utility.

No objections to the rest.
