271 new picasso's....

not really. picasso had people to handle every step of dispersing his works post-creation and was one of the most prolific artists ever. the guy (who incidentally installed his security system) could have taken one piece at a time from various studios. stranger things have happened, but the electrician's claim sounds bizarre

Who's stupid enough to call Picasso's estate/son up to verify the authenticity of the works if they're stolen? I think it's hard to tell. 271 pieces is A LOT to steal. My thought is, if he was smart enough to steal all of the works, one would think he'd be smart enough not to contact the estate. Who knows though, stupidity knows no bounds.

There was an article years ago about picasso's tailor who had quite a collection of original work given to him by Picasso so this story does not sound that bizarre.
