The Spirit of ‘69
StyleForum has some really awesome insular community-style threads. Probably the best (and least known) is the mods/suedehead thread – it’s full of actual, living mods who were part of those vintage photographs everyone loves to repost, telling stories about their days in the waning years of the 60s. It’s really something incredible.
Brooks Brother’s PR Snafu
Apparently Brooks Brother’s, the massive, billion dollar clothing chain, decided a year ago to pursue legal action against an old woman who sells soaps out of her garage under a brandname similar to the retailer. Not smart, huh?
