I'd totally be in if only I had a red tie

I don't have a red tie, either, UBR. Perhaps we can just Photoshop the tie color...

God I suck at Photoshop...I have a maroon-ish scarf, how's that?

Also, I vote that trousers be made optional.

goes without saying as long as the top half is a white shirt and SC.

I think I have the required stuff for the first time. Might participate, though I will keep in a non-red tie at hand, cause my hate of red ties with white shirts is too deep

BTW, I'm guessing the "does not approve" part means blazers of any kind are excluded (as they are perfectly fine and approved with a white shirt)?

define blazer and i will make my ruling. i am not trying to make this impossible. not expecting people to wear absurdities. ok, i kinda am, but its not necessary.

blazer = blue odd jacket with non-suit buttons (MOP, SMOP, brass, horn, etc.)

that is fine. i was planning on wearing that actually. blue blazers/SCs are fine, any buttons will do.

This is going to be interesting if we get a good number of entires, as there's actually a huge range of different looks that are possible within these restrictions, from the uber-traditional (think: blazer, white shirt, red-background repp tie, black shoes) to the flamboyantly eccentric.

It will be intriguing to see where the centre of gravity ends up, especially as the aim is obviously to integrate whatever items are chosen into a look that makes sense as an overall outfit.

If the weather's so-so, I'll have to opt for something vaguely traditional, given what I own. But if the weather is as bright & warm as today has been, then I do have another outfit in mind that certainly would not be considered traditional...

Sadly for all car-crash addicts, the current forecast is more on the so-so side. But we'll see what tomorrow brings!

i have mine all ready. cant wait! im on the conservative side with mine.

I don't want to aid the opposition too much, but dark-gray trousers paired with a light, subtle glen check SC will raise the level of disapproval to expert levels.
