Also they are super comfy

Damn, I was hoping it was gonna be more straightforward than that

I guess I'll just go with a 10.5 and see how it works out.

BTW, the overall profile of the boot looks amazing in your pic.

I would order multiple pairs and return the ones that don't fit. I did that a while ago (wound up just buying some Chromexcel Indys instead), and needed to size down from my usual 10.5D to a 9.5D for the 1000 Mile to fit. 10 was too big. I take a 10D in Indys (Trubalance).

Wow, so even after sizing down 1 full size they still fit comfortably? They're not tight at all?

Well, I tried them around on carpet and then sent them back because I just liked the Chromexcel Indys better, so I can't comment on wear. But yeah, it was fine sizing down a whole size. Again, I'd order multiple sizes and try them out/send them back if you don't absolutely trust whoever's going to fit you. Are you buying them locally or ordering them from somewhere? Shoemart has all sizes in stock, it looks like, and they have a great return policy and free shipping (one way, not for return shipping, which you have to pay for): http://www.theshoemart.com/wolverine...1000_mile.html

I was gonna get them from Revolve, with the first time customer discount I can get them for $227 shipped.

I'm trying to like the Indy's, but I just can't get into the moc toe. The 1000 mile works a lot better with my style. Maybe the Indy's will grow on me, but right now I'm not feelin' them.

Most people love the indy's, but they're definately not for everyone. It's okay not to like them.

I don't own the 1000 mile, but from pics I've seen it looks amazing when still quite new. That pic by phoenix looks great, and I saw a pair in the wild yesterday with 6 weeks of wear that looked truly incredible. But unlike other boots I'm not sure I like them as much when the toe starts breaking in and losing its structure. It looks like there is more leather up front than I would like in a plain toe. Judging from pics I've seen, the toe eventually softens into a large, unsightly ripple.

All of which is deeply qualified by the fact that I've never owned a pair myself.

Stuff like that doesn't bother me as much, but some of the worn Indy pics I've seen have some unsightly creases as well. I'm guessing it's more fit related.

Hey man, that's legit. They're beloved on this forum, but do what you feel. If it makes a difference Leather Soul is getting in 403s on the Plaza Last sometime soon...

Mine does. I like the rest of it enough that I sort of don't care. The bulbous toe on the 1000 Mile was the dealbreaker for me. Also, and call me crazy, but I liked the Chromexcel better on the 403 than the 1000 Mile (403 AND 1000 Mile has Chromexcel, right?). I paid an extra $75 for them, but whatever. The fit was also better.

This is why I'm so excited about the addison - I think the wingtip pattern will draw away from any of ripple pattern you may get.

1. Plaza last boots make me drool, but I cant afford them yet.

2. Yes the 1000 mile is Chromexcel, but I'm gonna get them in black, not brown, I love the contrast of the black leather with the 1000 mile boot's heel/sole. Also, I plan on getting the 1000 mile Addison boot when it comes out, which is a brownish color, for now I need a black boot.

Leather Soul is getting non-shell cordovan Plaza boots in for its next Alden preorder, I believe. So they'll be $400-ish, I imagine, which is a normal Alden boot price. Black 1000 miles. Nice. I support that. The black and the rust are their best colors I think. The brown is totally fine, but not amazing or anything, and it sounds like you're going for a brown-spectrum boot for the Addison anyway.
