I have been searching high and low for a suit in my price range (300-600), and I can find nothing that is very 'modern'. The quality has been sufficient for me (some Lauren suits etc...), but I cannot find a suit that has slimmer lapels, slimmer silhouette, flat front pants, 2 buttons etc... any recommendations?

I do like the cuts there, but the quality is so-so. They seem to be around $250, I figured if I spent double that I could get something a little better?

You should check out Thick as Thieves (aka TaT). They have very modern styling, and while the price is near your upper end, the suits are MTM and they certainly have a lot of fans on SF.

The Asian guy in the pix on the website is a SF member who posts under the name GetSmart, and is one of the smartest dressed guys on the forum. You could do a lot worse to emulate him.

Good advice! Check TaT out. Their stuff is waay better than anything at HM or Zara.

Or, get an RL Black or something off of YOOX.
I think the only thing you wont get for $500.00 is say Kiton, Borrelli, Brioni etc.
Meaning, if you watch on here or e-bay (especially these days), you can do it if you are patient.
TaT is a great route as well.

Thanks for the advice guys. I have looked at TaT and definitely considered it, but the fits look ultra-skinny? I have an athletic build, anyone in the same boat that got a good fit with TaT?

Thanks for PM eHaberdasher.

With MTM, you can account for your build, as the suit is made off of your measurements and you can add allowances for things like your build and how you skinny or not skinny you want it to be.
His suits are slim but in most cases not overly so, especially compared to some other makes out there.

Depends on your definition of "athletic", but I'm at a 10" drop and I should have my first TaT suit arriving in a few weeks. I opted for the "conservative cut" so I don't know if that meets your requirements. Happy to keep you posted as to how it works out.
