Okay, so I visited Chan during their trip to Seattle (last March). The suit has just arrived and it as simply awful. Just terrible. I've emailed them asking to rectify this and I'm waiting for a response.

For those of you with experience with Chan, what is the best plan? Should I get another fitting and have them recraft the suit? I can't explain how much I hate this garment. I was all hyped of never having to buy RTW again. I've seen Chan examples on this site (PG, YF, Parker) which are all so well done.

Thoughts?

Not to pile on, but I'd really like to see this thing on you. It may influence some upcoming decisions I've got to make.

I didn't post pictures because I didn't see the need. I am unsatisfied with it, isn't that all that matters?

First fo all, the first bespoke of anything is not going to be 100% of what you envisioned, I've come to accept that and you should too. Now, post pics for us so we can be of better help.

Is it fit problems? Do you not like your choice of fabric? What is the problem?

No, unfortunately I don't personally believe that it is all that matters. The customer isn't always right.

Post up some pictures and you will get some objective feedback on whether your feelings are generally considered reasonable or not and you can proceed however you like.

Echo what everyone else here said. If you don't want to post pics (which would be stupid) you have to at least give us something. What's wrong with it? The quality of the sewing? The fit? How is it off? What's the problem, other than

a) It sucks

and

b) I don't want to post photos?

What should you do? Figure out why you don't like it. Be constructive.

Then take it to get pressed. And wear it for a couple hours no matter how much you dislike it.

After it's pressed and broken in, I bet you'll soften on it some.

Then go back and figure out how it can be improved and talk to Chan about it.

If you don't post pictures how are we supposed to make fun and add hilarious icanhascheezburger comments to your photos?

Just kidding.

Seriously, even if you don't post pictures you haven't given any information about what's wrong. You can't get good advice until you've given more information.

Not really. There's a vast difference between, "It's exactly what I ordered but I don't like it now that I see it" and "One of the sleeves is six inches shorter than the other." For all we know, you might be one of those anal retentive twits that are the bane of bespoke artisans -- especially tailors -- everywhere.

Surely you sent Chan pictures and specific complaints? I can't believe you merely sent them an e-mail saying "This suit is awful. What are you going to do about it?" and are expecting any sort of constructive response.

that is a silly statement. Post a pic, mention what issues you have and you will get constructive feedback.
