Should I return these pants?

Hey all,

Just received my BB's Flat Front Clark Corduroy pants ($41 a pop) in Navy and Tan. When I tried them on they felt somewhat comfortable but I wasn't sure about the fit. Having an athletic build I have REALLY thick thighs and somewhat of a gut

I am trying to get the slimmer look but am wondering maybe I should go with pleats instead. The size of the the pants is 34x30 (Where I'm at best a 34x29) I'm 5'9" 190lbs.
Should I return these pants and get the JosABank cords (which they have in 34x29) for $49?

They don't look way too tight in the thigh, but you have to decide if they're not comfortable. The Clarks are slimmer so may not be best for your body type. You may want to try the BB Hudson, which has a fuller cut, especially in the thighs and seat. They do need to be hemmed, but that's an easy job for your tailor.

I would go with pleats if I were you, you can see where the pants bunch in the front. Having the extra room in front from the pleats will take care of that.

I think the next waist size up would fit better, and you could have the waist and seat tailored so there is just enough room. From the pics, they fit like slim jeans, which is probably not what you're looking for. I don't think pleats are necessarily the answer.

I see what appears to be pulling across the upper thigh and lower crotch. Am I the only one?

I think they fit you nicely and not too tight around the thighs.
