Well, yes, as a transitional jacket, for a walk in the coutryside (in winter it would be the casentino fleece).

Well, that's a chore jacket truly used as a chore jacket! (unless the owner accidentally washed it with bleach…)

In 2021 the linen chores were at £495, now £595 (and in EU, thanks to brexit, its 20% more). And that's just the plain ones, last year the tablecloth ones were at 1k€! The jungle jacket has just been restock at 935€, it don't remember it being so high last year. That's crazy.

Speaking of shirts sizing, does anybody have experience with the (linen) smock shirts?

No, no! I'm rather skinny, so always between two sizes. I'll end up looking like a scarecrow in my creased linen chore anyway :)

This is so confusing… usually I'm 36 for linen chores and 38 for winter ones, but the ssense model whose chest is 37" is indeed wearing a 42 😵‍💫 I have the Seatown from 2022 which was also much thinner (almost transparent), if it's comparable I can't see myself wearing it two sizes up… Oh...

So, how does the Forestiere size? like the linen ones, like the fall/winter ones, differently?

That I wish but wouldn't necessarily *need* or that I'm not sure are cut for me: their fluffy chalkstripe flannel suits, and some coats (donegal tweed raglan, teddy polo-coat, …). That I regret not buying: the complete collection of japanese heavy linen chores.

Michael Hill was wearing it last year at a long lunch at St. John. I remember wondering what it was because it never came in the collection.

I'd love a fun jacket in Japanese heavy linen…

Quite like you, but I'm sure one size up would be too big for me, so it must be by design.

Well, well, well, who bought all the ALD/Drakes items already? 🧐

Just saw a tweet from Derek Guy about P. Johnson. Their website has a Drake's vibe.
