The thing I don’t like about the “rebellious schoolboy” look is it gives the impression one is eschewing the tie because one doesn’t like to wear ties. I generally like wearing ties, but there are just instances when it would be best to not wear one.- jjacks

What dress shoes/boots would a podiatrist recommend?
I bear the misfortune of having a bunion on each foot. The general advice one finds online is to wear wide running shoes or some sort of square-toe monstrosities. The new GS dress code stipulates employees dress in a manner consistent with client expectations. With most clients dressing more casually themselves, it's only a matter of time before the company realizes wearing a suit and tie to external events is not necessary either.- jjacks
