Wingtips with denim

Hi, just wondering what to look for in wingtips to go with denim. Should you go for a slightly thicker, clunkier shaped shoe than a very sleek one which might seem too formal?

Do these look a little bit too dressy?

Yeah, just trying to find the right pair. The ones above look really good! Side on shots would be useful ....not sure how the thick the sole should be etc

Both sleek (ala Starr) or chunky (ala Budapester) styles of work with denim, but the cut has to pair accordingly with the shoe.

Beautiful shoes. Wonderful broguing. Probably illustrates the point. But those are not wingtips. They are cap toes.
