This entire thread is a troll. He's not been interested in the debate at any point. Carey =Originally Posted by AlanC

If you read carefully, I respond to a post, most of the time I do it in the fashion I have done now. Your attack is personal to insist that I am trolling. If you have a point to debate, please do so. Instead your post towards me are only judgemental. State your point. Also, you are not the voice for anyone else who posts. Again, state your point and let's debate.Originally Posted by Carey

You know, Carey, you just seem to be looking for an argument. I don't think anybody has said that paying full retail price for new things is frivolous and ought to be discouraged. Most posters have been more accomodating of your phobias than is perhaps strictly necessary. The only one who seems to be conflicted is you. If you want to wear only new things and things that look so completely 2006, then please go right ahead. Forgive me for speculating, but looking at your posts together I can't help but think you are somehow deeply offended by the idea of people buying and wearing used clothes--it's dirty (what with those "boys" and all), looks dated, not fashionable, offends the established order of who should wear what, etc. I think you are wrong on each of these accounts--though I won't lose any sleep over it. Apart from everything else, old clothes are part of being well-dressed; nothing like throwing together different parts of the historical vocabulary to bring a look to life.Originally Posted by pejsek
I buy used clothes because it increases the quality/price ratio by more than tenfold, and wearing clothes that have touched someone else doesn't bother me. Period. I don't see why I need to provide any more reasons than those.Originally Posted by Edward Appleby
