Yeah you can say I'm pretty new to CM based on my thread posts.

I think the items I've purchased fit into my budget, I think the CT shirts are good for the price the BS shoes are good for the price etc. Sure they aren't AE's but I aspire to own a pair someday but due to my limited budget I won't .

As far as ties go I wanted really nice ties and that's what I purchased, I've spent $10 on a ties that I like a lot. Alll the items I have purchased are basic items and I feel comfortable with. The bespoke pocket square is a tribute to relatives artwork that I think would make a nice pocket square after I get regular pocket squares.

I agree with you that bespoke items aren't needed when building a wardrobe from scratch just items that are well made and fit into your budget. I'm very happy with all of the items I've purchased and can't wait to purchase another Sam Hober tie after my arrival of pocket squares from them.
For ties I would go to ebay. Nice ties for cheap. Same for pocket squares.

Oh yeah for sure, I've purchased some classic BB ties from eBay in the past.I just finished buying one a few moments ago I may post them on SF soon.

Maybe it's my eBay fu not working I don't see much in the way of good pocket squares just your wedding variety.

Try putting in specific brands. Ceasar Attolini, Barbera, RLPL, etc...

Check out ebay seller balearic1 (run by @SpooPoker here on SF) for great pocket squares (and much more) every week. Not as many this week though.

Just a thought, take it or leave it, but personally, I'm not too proud to buy something used......you could check Ebay and Poshmark. I got a hardly worn pair of 5th aves in my size for $30. I've since come across strands, AE loafers, Santoni cap-toes, and more with hardly any wear and all under $100.

I don't konw your size or the style you're looking for, but here's a random example - a pair of strands that doesn't look too bad. If you look, you can find newer pairs that would need less re-break-in and would form well to your foot.

Thanks for the suggestions, Most of the ties in my collection are used if they are in good condition and I like the style I'll buy it. I'll keep that in mind as I go deeper into this sartorial journey.
