when is the best time (read: best price) to purchase the C&J cap toes?

last year
or the year before that
they jacked up the price big time in 2012
peal & co. shoes used to be $488
now $598

i believe the best sale last year was a 30% + 20% extra discount (for a total of 44% off)

The thanksgiving/xmas sales last year had almost 40% off the shoes. Not sure if they will keep that level of discount. They also increased the prices on the C&J's by quite a bit recently, so you might want to consider buying direct from C&J instead?

Any way to get a corp membership if your employer does not participate?

If you are an alumnus of a social or business fraternity check out their website. Many partner with BB for this program.

I got my "Corporate Discount" card through Borders when it still existed. Back in early 2011. :slayer: 15% all regular price stuff at all times. Have only really used it once

I almost never use mine as they have such frequent sales. If you develop a relationship with an SA, he will also scan a store card for you. Otherwise, membership in several professional organizations (bar associations, etc.) can get you the corporate membership card.

There are actually some one ebay right now going for around $225. I'd cop, but I prefer that the line on the cap toe weren't punched.

I didn't realize my firm had one until I checked out the Corporate Perks program that we have otherwise I would have never found out.

I just signed up for the card, and it's giving me a 25% discount. Is there a special promotion on right now?
