Harvested some basil yesterday (Aero Garden ftw) and toasted pine nuts to grind up in the pesto I made.
i find that pine nuts on hummus go well together
Late to the party here. I enjoy pine nuts, but it's probably true that they're one of those ingredients that's suddenly in vogue. My biggest problem with them is that they're farking expensive and go bad so quickly that I have the issue of buying a $5 pack of pine nuts, using a few tablespoons of them in a pesto or a salad, then finding the remaining 80% of them in my cupboard months later, stale and nasty.
