What do you wear under your dress shirts? T-shirts? Tanks?

Sleeveless undershirts (a-shirts) are what I wear under my dress shirts. I use a deodorant without aluminum so stains are not a concern. They provide all of the protection that I need and are the most comfortable of all styles of undershirts.

2xist shirts do the trick well for me.

This will of course only work if your genes did not endow you with chest hair.

Some of us are actually frequently pulled aside by the TSA, owing to our rather, umm, actually never mind.

Just found this forum, and must say I'm rather liking it! I used to be a dedicated V-neck guy until I spent some time in the Philippines. In lieu of suits, many businessmen will wear a barong, the Filipino traditional shirt. Under it, they were a low-crew-neck button-front undershirt, called a Camisa de Chino.

I bought a few. When my company sent me back, I bought a lot more. They cover my basics:

• Comfortable: Even on 100+ Fahrenheit days,
  
• Protect the pits
  
• Low collar prevents that hair "V" from showing under a sheer white shirt
  
• Low collar doesn't bind up like conventional crew neck Ts do (which is why I went to V-necks)

It's approaching time to find them locally, though...

I pulled the illustrations from the following page: Barongs R Us - Camisa de Chino. A friend recently purchased a traditional barong and camisa from them and was pleased with the quality of the barong. Not so with the camisa. The sleeve seam unraveled at the armpit join almost immediately. He didn't bother trying to get a replacement or refund, so I cannot speak to the site's customer service.

I haven't yet purchased any online, hoping to return to Luzon early next year where I can get my Hanes camisas for about USD $3-4 each again. There's a local brand called Yacht Club that has an impressive range of colors. The colors (notably the green, violet, and yellow) have remained pretty vibrant over a year of moderate use. When tieless, I've taken to wearing some of them under heavier white button-downs as color compliment for my jacket.

I must say that the long-sleeved camisas are great when one hasn't gotten the winter weight suits out yet.

I only wear one when I'm in an extremely humid environment, and I know the sweat will soak through the shirt, which looks quite unsightly. The undershirt will prevent the sweat from soaking the dress shirt.

Other than that, I never wear one.

When I do, I go with a light cotton v neck.

As an aside, I recently tapered an RLBL shirt to be quite slim, and when worn w/o an undershirt, it chafed my nips pretty bad, so I might have to use an undershirt with that one!

I thought for certain Vox owned his own coffee plantation, ordered custom-roasted beans, and employed his own barista to make drinks at his command, rather tha frequent small-timer establishments like Starbucks.

I wouldn't mind trimming if it helps reduce the sweat and smell issues, but I don't think I can be bald under there. I am a man after all.

I didn't realize this was so contentious.

I have probably been doing this for 10-12 years now. I hardly sweat at all. No deo clumps. No smell. No wetness.

My woman appreciates it too.
